Process Alert is an add-on for Wonderware/AVEVA Application Server that provides means to securely deliver alarm notifications to operators. Alarms can be delivered though the following channels:
- email messages (with or without the ability to acknowledge alarms by replying to the received email message)
- native text messages sent directly to cell phones
- voice calls that annunciate alarms by speaking out an alarm message using text-to-speech technology.
Process Alert also provides access to simple process Reports available by connecting to the web portal available on the corporate network or DMZ (demilitarized zone).
Alarm notifications and Reports don’t require the SCADA system to be exposed to the internet. Delivery of alarm notifications and reports, acknowledgment of alarms is possible by using an intermediate gateway that is not part of the SCADA system and that facilitates secure data transmission from and to the SCADA system
